Alba House in Edinburgh is a gorgeous hotel with beautifully maintained rooms offering a wonderful view. the location is good, with a bus stop right in front of the hotel. the food is brilliant, and the rooms have good toiletries. the service is excellent, with helpful staff, and there is a sensational choice for breakfast.

It's comfy place to stay 3 km away from The Studio. The staff is welcoming and knowledgeable, and the host too. The rooms are airy and light with comfy beds. The service is excellent, includes private parking.

Having read the previous guest comments I had a very high expectation of Alba House but wasn't dissapointed. The welcome was warm and personal. The room couldn't be faulted, huge windows, lots of space and great toiletries, and for my other half - free Wi-Fi connection, large telly and power shower. So we were both happy and would recommend this place anytime.

The room was modern and well-kept, offering a pleasant view of the garden, while the staff were extremely friendly and gave us some helpful suggestions.

Lovely place to stay. Good location on the outskirts of the city - we walked in to the city centre a couple of times which took about 30mins. On the times we were feeling less energetic, the b&b is on a main bus route where you only have to wait a couple of minutes between buses. The room we had was an economy double which was really comfortable and worth the price, although there was no shower in our room. If there had been availability, we probably would have upgraded to one of the 'non- economy' doubles as these looked extremely good from what we saw, but we booked the day before arrival so these were already full. The owner was really helpful and provided a good choice of breakfast in the morning. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend this b&B.

We were in the top floor of the b&b and so there were a quite a few stairs to the room. In addition, our room didn't have a shower due to the ceiling height, but the bath was quick to fill and a decent size which more than compensated for this. I think that was why it was the 'economy double', but it definitely wouldn't put me off staying in the same room again.

We stayed in the two bedroom (and two bathroom) apartment as opposed to the b&B. It was a great apartment in a superb location. Cafes and bars on the doorstep but still very quiet. All main tourist attractions within an easy walk and a tesco express right around the corner. Lovely proprietor who provided all the information we needed for our stay. Would definately recommend it to others and stay there again.

The breakfast here is lovely with fresh fruit and excellent coffee.

I like this family like hotel, typical Scotland breakfast, old house with beautiful garden, convenient transportation to downtown, and last but not least, very friendly hostess.
